Role Description

Museum Play Leader

This is a part-time on-site role, located in Hilton Head Island, SC, for a Museum Play Leader at The Sandbox Children's Museum. The Museum Play Leader will lead various play-based programs and activities for children and their families, including story time, art activities, and sensory play. He/she will also engage with visitors to enhance their learning experience and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, preferably in a museum or educational setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with visitors and collaborate with colleagues
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Knowledge of child development and learning theories
• Creativity and resourcefulness in developing new museum experiences for visitors
• Must possess or be willing to obtain CPR and first aid certification
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
