We are looking for a Museum Store Associate to work approximately 14 hours per week for a Temporary, Seasonal position during the weekends. Typical hours worked will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. The position is from April through November 2024.
Candidate will provide excellent customer service and will have strong communication skills to make customers feel welcome in our Museum and store.
This position is ideal for someone interested in a weekend position and able to work additional hours as needed for events, holidays, and to cover for other staff absences.
You will help identify visitor’s needs, present and answer questions about our merchandise and promote the gift shop, museum, and events. A friendly, positive attitude and a desire to promote Appalachia is what we are looking for. Ultimately, you will ensure that visitors leave Foxfire wanting to return and invite others and you will also contribute to the museum’s profitability.
