May require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Detective/Investigator, Except Public is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Detective/Investigator, Except Public performs a variety of complicated tasks. Typically reports to an executive or head of a unit/department. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Respond to and protect the building from incidents of fire, medical emergency, theft, illegal entry, loitering and other suspicious acts in accordance with the policies and procedures set by the MCCNO.
Patrol assigned areas checking for safety hazards and document any irregularities found.
Report and log data on unusual occurrences such as property damage, injuries, theft, etc... and create detailed incident reports in a timely manner.
Monitor entrances, exits, movement of people and vehicles and report any suspicious behavior immediately.
Observe and escort departing personnel off the premises to guard against possible safety hazards.
Attend and participate in all staff meetings and training sessions.
