Gaia is seeking a Publishing Coordinator to manage content descriptions and metadata for new releases.
Gaia’s publishing team is dedicated to driving subscriber engagement with our content. As a small core team, we work within an agile framework and use multiple CMS and project management tools. We are responsible for preparing and scheduling all content, licensed and original, for release. The role combines both media review and writing and editing titles and descriptions, as well as tagging content to facilitate and drive content discovery.
As part of the publishing team, the publishing coordinator will be responsible for titling and writing descriptions for our original shows as well as reviewing and QCing media. They will interface with multiple departments, including production and marketing and coordinate efforts towards new content launches.
You will need to be an excellent writer and be familiar with Gaia’s content and your target audience – Gaia’s community of subscribers – so that you can help drive increased viewership and engagement. You will be encouraged to find new and creative ways to optimize the presentation of our content to our subscribers.
This position requires deep knowledge and interest in Gaia’s content topics from personal growth to expanded consciousness and paranormal experiences, including an understanding of the current landscape of these subject matters. The role also requires experience with web technology, CMS and data systems, and time management.
