Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Receptionist / Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in ensuring their experience is positive and efficient. Your exceptional organizational and communication skills will contribute to the smooth operation of our dental practice.
We are seeking a person who we can train to be a crossover for front and back office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using dental practice management Dentrix program
- Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries
- Collect patient information and update electronic health records
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists as needed
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
- Assist in setting up and breaking down rooms. Assisting the doctor chairside.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role (Dental receptionist, Front desk)
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is preferred
- Proficiency in using dental practice management systems (Dentrix)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries and concerns professionally
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
