Collaborates with engineering teams to provide CAE design, analysis, and modeling support. Being a Design Manager utilizes CAE tools to facilitate benchmarking, concept design, prototype development, simulation, and testing protocols. Evaluates project results to design, develop, and implement guidelines and procedures to achieve engineering efficiencies. Additionally, Design Manager requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a director. The Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
