We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform dental charting and recordkeeping
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- X-ray certification required
- Knowledge of dental systems (e.g., Dentrix) preferred
- Familiarity with medical coding and HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Experience with CAD/CAM technology is a plus
