Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Dentist to join our dental practice. As an Associate Dentist, you will work alongside our experienced team to provide exceptional dental care to our patients. This is a part time position on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting in the month of June, to help while our doctor takes time with his family.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns
- Conduct routine dental examinations and diagnose oral conditions
- Develop treatment plans and discuss them with patients
- Administer anesthetics and ensure patient comfort during procedures
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental software systems (Dentrix)
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dentistry and attend continuing education courses
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health, and dental systems
- Proficiency in using dental software systems (Dentrix) for medical documentation, scheduling, and billing
- Familiarity with medical terminology, coding, and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the dental team
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise dental work
