Job Description

Dental Assistants are an integral member of our team and help foster our clinically led culture. Key Responsibilities

1. Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable 

2. Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment 

3. Take dental radiographs (x-rays) 

4. Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment 

5. Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures 

6. Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health 

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify 

• X-ray certification where state regulations specify

Working Environment & Physical Requirements  

This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, leaning, and bending. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
