Being a Delivery Truck Driver scans or records packages and maintains documentation of deliveries. Conducts routine vehicle inspections and schedules repairs on vehicles as needed. Additionally, Delivery Truck Driver follows all DOT and company regulations to operate safely. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Valid Driver's License. May Require Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class B. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Delivery Truck Driver works under moderate supervision. Basics
Starting pay for company drivers is $0.62 per mile, and exceptions can be made for exceptional service. Pay increases are given based on performance.
New drivers are given credit for their experience and can be eligible for an experience bonus for an exemplary driving record and driving experience.
All drivers qualify for a safety bonus of up to $0.06 / mile and a productivity bonus of up to $0.06 / mile by driving :
