Delivery Truck Driver jobs in Utah
Delivery Truck Driver delivers packages or products according to the scheduled route. Follows designated schedule and seeks efficient travel routes. Being a Delivery Truck Driver scans or records packages and maintains documentation of deliveries. Conducts routine vehicle inspections and schedules repairs on vehicles as needed. Additionally, Delivery Truck Driver follows all DOT and company regulations to operate safely. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Valid Driver's License. May Require Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class B. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Delivery Truck Driver works under moderate supervision. How You Will Make an Impact
A Delivery Driver at Reading Truck is responsible for pick-up and delivery of customer vehicles promptly to customers and to other specific locations. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.
The Nuts and Bolts
- Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
- Assist with packing and loading products onto trucks per company’s specifications
- Maintain ongoing communication
- Unload goods as per client specifications
- Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs
- Obtain delivery confirmation from each customer
- Valid driver license (CDL is required depending on vehicle)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Delivery Driver and clean driving record
- Ability to pass company driving test, background check and drug test
- Strong customer service skills
