Assists in the preparation, deployment, and delivery of decision support tools to users. Being a Decision Support Specialist analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Decision Support Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Decision Support Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Summary
Designs and implements new data sets, develops data modeling, and is responsible for data collection, analysis, and design.
Coordinates new data development to ensure consistency and integration with existing structure. Reviews requests for data and data usage and creates analytic tools to identify and communicate performance metrics.
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in the field to the completion of moderately difficult assignments.
Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality or ingenuity. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
