Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. About the role…
The Day to day responsibilities include of the IT Support Specialist based in our office in Bozeman, Montana include:
Desktop Support
- Service and support the Oboz head office by managing all IT issues and requests.
- Support Rip Curl US and the Canada office – by addressing support tickets.
- On-board and off-board laptops and other IT tools for new and existing employees
- Excellent customer service – meeting/exceeding communicated SLAs/response times.
- A high level of technical support is required.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft O365 software. D365 experience a plus.
- Build solid relationships with all internal customers.
- Problem resolution should be proactive.
- Liaison with external support vendors to manage service delivery and support to ensure this is completed to a satisfactory level.
- Effectively communicate to all customers, both internal and external.
- Participate and support KMD and/or brand-level IT initiatives (laptop refresh, software changes, etc.)
- Ability to work autonomously – given direct supervisor will be based in San Clemente, CA
- Troubleshooting skills and critical thinking are required to diagnose and resolve IT issues.
- Ability to communicate with internal consumers in non-technical terms so they understand the process/steps to resolve issues.
- Continuous improvement is a critical part of this role. Providing feedback to the US IT Manager and developing documentation will enable us to continually strive to provide better services across the business for all customers.
