Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters.     The Role:
    Reporting to the Manager of Project Management, the Project Specialist will arrange schedules and regulate workflow within or between organizational units supporting designated projects. They will help check the master schedule and work orders, establishes priorities and changes the schedule according to projects, work order specifications, and established priorities, coordinates production release, and sets up shop order packets and materials. Provides general support for the Project Management function.
    Responsibilities:
    • Maintains project plan and coordinates/expedites schedule compliance by establishing priorities and availability or capability of production, parts, material, machines, and equipment.
    • Coordinates Interco requirements for multi-plant projects, third-party inspections and services, logistics, and MRB submittals.
    • Coordinates all project documents; maintains revision control on all submittals and returns; ensures proper record retention.
    • Confers with production personnel and functional groups to resolve problems.
    • Other duties as assigned through identified and established process improvements.

    Required Experience
    • At least three years of working experience in project management is required; an associate degree is preferred.
    • Apply logical or scientific thinking principles to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Interpret various technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    • Proven working experience interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and work order specifications. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
    • Proven working experience with computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software; JDE systems and Microsoft Project experience preferred.
    • Work requires continual attention to detail in following through, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
