Decision Support Project Specialist jobs in Decatur, IL

Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters.     Human Resources Management:

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with data privacy and confidentiality regulations.
    Ensure adherence to labor laws, employment contracts, and other legal requirements related to employment. Administrative Operations:
    Oversee the day-to-day administrative functions, including office supplies, facilities maintenance, and equipment management.
    Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for office services, supplies, and maintenance. Health and Safety:
    Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and create a safe working environment for employees.
    Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Budget and Resource Management:
    Manage the HR and administrative budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
    Allocate resources effectively to meet departmental and organizational needs. Communication and Coordination:
    Facilitate effective communication between management, employees, and various departments.
    Collaborate with senior management to align HR and administrative strategies with overall organizational goals. Policy Development:
    Develop and update organizational policies and procedures related to HR, administration, and workplace practices. Employee Engagement:
    Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    Several years of relevant experience in HR and administration, with a proven track record in leadership and management.
    Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
    Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software and MS Office suite.
    Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
    Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    Strong organizational and time management skills.
    The HR and Administration Manager role is instrumental in fostering a positive work environment, maintaining compliance with regulations, and facilitating the smooth operation of an organization's administrative functions.
