Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters.     Zachry Group is currently looking for a detail-oriented Project Support Specialist to join our Project Support Team in Downers Grove, IL. As a Project Support Specialist team member, you will be responsible for document control activities, including handling the flow of documentation to and from our clients.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Process (incoming and outgoing transmittals from suppliers) and distribute documentation per the project and Client department requirements with attention to detail and accuracy to the project team throughout the life cycle of a project.
    • Provide weekly reports throughout the life cycle of a project on the status of each document per the project requirements.
    • Maintain the complete revision history of each document process throughout the project.
    • Adhere to the Client Department standards on document management and retention policies.
    • Process documents within 24 hours per the project distribution matrix within the defined budget hours and process per the provided work procedures.
    • Maintain accurate document index using the provided project specific template.
    • Attend weekly Project Team meetings and contribute project document status update.
    • Other duties as assigned pertaining to general office administration.



    REQUIREMENTS
    • High School Diploma / GED
    • 5 years minimum of project support, document control or similar experience.
    • Detail orientated and be able to recognize priority of deliverables for processing.
    • Strong technical skills needed in the following: Adobe Acrobat, Blue Beam, Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, etc) with intermediate to medium skills in Excel
    • Possess excellent communication and written skills
    • Effective planning and organizational skills with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Problem solving skills, to strives to understand contributing factors, works to resolve complex situations with appropriate management.
    • Meeting deadlines, working independently, accountable for work, maintains focus, punctual, and good attendance record management.
    • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and be able to work interdependently or work as a team member when needed.
    • Must maintain active status in a drug and/or alcohol testing consortium
    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
    • Associate or Bachelor’s degree
    • 1 - 3 years of administrative experience in an engineering office or similar business environment
    • Experience with database entry or other Document Management Systems a plus.
    • Comprehensive understanding of engineering documents and deliverables and can file accordingly.
    • Experience with file sharing (downloading, uploading, zip files)

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Employee will work in an office setting.
