Job Description:

The Decision Support Analyst develops, implements, and coordinates data reports, databases, spreadsheets, graphs, and analyses to aid in the evaluation and improvement of patient outcomes and quality of care. Performs data analysis and data validation to ensure accurate results reporting.

• Identifies and documents clinical and/or business department(s) reporting requirements.
• Prepares detailed specifications, technical and user documentation from which reports will be written estimating time and resources for planning purposes.
• Analyzes and implements the functionality and operations of systems to determine standard and ad hoc reporting capabilities per organizational needs.
• Responsible for providing report design, development, testing, debugging, programming and modification support and maintenance of reports in multiple databases, environments, and applications for efficient and effective reporting.
• Ensures ongoing modification, maintenance and support of test/production reporting projects.
• Utilizes database tools and applications to provide support and maintenance of reports/and databases/systems for Performance Analytics.
• Develops queries to extract data and prepare reports from our systems using SQL, BOXI, Crystal reports, Access and other systems and modules as assigned. Experience with SSIS and SSRS a plus.
• Provides reporting analysis, programming and problem resolution to facilitate reporting process improvement of complex systems.
• Cross-coordinates the design of data collection tools with appropriate clinical and/or business content coordinators to ensure that the data needed to populate reports is being collected within the system.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in management, information services, or healthcare related field required.
• 2-3 years of work experience in related area. Related work within the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of hospital, clinic, and physician office operations.

Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
