Position Summary:

This Student Assistant position involves preparing slides, ensuring their completeness, and cross-checking the pathologist’s test release, along with "Köhlern" of microscopes. Duties also include entering results into the internal database, managing shipments, and updating external databases. Additional responsibilities encompass archiving control slides, assisting with sample receipt and registration, unpacking parcels, and filing documents.

 A Day in the Life of a Phlebotomy Technician at Discovery Life Sciences:

• Preparation of respective slides and cross-check of pathologist’s test release
• Completeness check
• “Köhlern” of respective microscope
• Result entry of the respective cases into the internal database
• Shipment preparation and data entry into external databases
• Archiving of control slides
• Support in receipt and registration of sample material
• Unpacking of parcels
• Filing of documents

Position Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):

• Currently studying, ideally in a life science field
• Very good written and spoken English skills
• Structured, responsible and independent way of working
• Well-versed in handling the MS Office package
• Distinct service orientation, confident and friendly demeanor, communicative competence and team spirit
• Reliability and resilience are required
• A sense of detail and quality awareness
