ASSISTANT DEAN - CAREER PROGRAMS & CONTINUING EDUCATION

Reporting to the Dean of Careers and Continuing Education, the Assistant Dean Career Programs & Continuing Education (CPCE) is a Part-Time position, responsible for program administration and associated administrative duties that support the success of the Olive-Harvey College CPCE department. The Assistant Dean represents the College and serves the needs of the community and local businesses by assisting with the delivery of programs, student services, workforce solutions and equipment. The Assistant Dean fosters a climate dedicated to program excellence and conducive to the tenets of a diverse learning community and workforce, developing programs and facilitating activities that promote both student and organizational success as well as lifelong learning. The Assistant Dean works with key stakeholders on outreach and relationship management strategies to effectively engage with business and industry leaders and secure their participation in developing career and technical education (CTE) programs that prepare students for employment and provide career awareness for students pursuing transfer opportunities. The Assistant Dean also works collaboratively with senior staff in implementing a comprehensive CPCE program offering professional and personal development (PPD) non-credit as wells as credit courses that are responsive to current and emerging community and workforce needs and interests, and that align with the college’s mission and goals. Performs related duties as required.
