Dean of Communications manages administrative functions of the college of communications. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Communications leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Communications requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Communications manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Communications typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.   • Position Overview:

    The Telecommunications Foremanis responsible for planning, organizing and scheduling crews to complete assigned work orders, including assigning tasks, assuring the work is being installed in a high-quality manner and performing quality inspections.This individual will monitor task completion, compliance and prevent safety issues.

    The Telecommunications Foreman will have technical knowledge & working experience in the installation of Telecommunication Systems including Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP & ISP Copper, along with DAS.

    This position is responsible for the working installation & leading project teams in the installation of telecommunications cabling and equipment in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

    Position Requirements:

    • Managing small to large sized projects of 5 or more persons
    • Conferring with senior management, supervisory personnel to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
    • Scheduling the project in logical steps to budget enough time required to meet deadlines.
    • Interpreting and explaining plans to field workers.
    • Terminating, testing, troubleshooting of Low Voltage Cabling (Fiber Optics, Cat 5, Cat 6).
    • Installation ofvarious pathways and cabletray
    • Installation of variousTelecommunicationsDevices
    • InstallationofPrefabricated Components andAssemblies.

    • Cable Foreman need to be able to train and supervise technicians/apprentices in a team environment to facilitate installing cable from Telecommunication Rooms (TR) to work area outlets (WAO) while following drawings and run lists to ensure cables are installed methodically and arranged in proper bundles at TR for ease of dressing and termination.
    • Cable Foreman need to be able to perform Quality assurance checks of their team's work ensuring cable install is performed within all applicable requirements.
    • Maintainaclean work areaand participateinjob site cleanup.
    • Securing company toolsand materialsdaily
    • Up to 25% Travel which may include domestic and/or international.

    Qualifications / Skills Sets / Expectations:

    • 5 years prior experience in commercial communications industry
    • High School diploma or GED is required.
    • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance as required for the project.
    • Possesses a valid driver's licenseandsatisfactory driving record.
    • Successfully pass a background check and drug test
    • Have reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
    • Ability to pass basic telecommunication knowledge test
    • Consistently report to work on time, work well with other to accomplish a common goal and maintain a safe work environment
    • Wearlongpants and a shirt that covers the shoulders bysix(6) inches. These are not provided by the Company.
    • Provide basic tools from provided tool list prior to 1stday of employment.

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

    Physical Abilities:

    • Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
    • Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
    • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
    • Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
    • Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
    • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
    • Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
    • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
    • Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
    • See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
    • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
