Position Summary: Responsible for business development activities in support of the lending and deposit functions of the Bank in accordance with the Bank’s strategic plan.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Customer Service/Sales:

Responsible for the development and maintenance of new business and consumer relationships for loans and deposits.

Obtains new loans/deposits through the development and implementation of an internal/external calling program.

Participates in business development activities and networking within the community to find and attract new business.

Takes loan applications through the bank’s Abrigo loan system, collects all relevant and required financial information, and uploads through Abrigo complete Financial Request packages to underwriting at the time of application.

Obtain customer information (background; business model, understand revenue and cash flow cycle)?

Prepare initial cash flow analysis and prepare term sheets as an outline of loan pricing and structures. Obtains final approval from a voting member of Officers Loan Committee.

Is actively present in the community by attending various events to promote the bank’s brand and seek new business opportunities.

Call on existing and prospective clients to develop new business and to retain or expand existing business.

Develop and maintain contacts with CPAs, attorneys, builders, real estate agents, and other Centers of Influences, for the purpose of obtaining business referrals.

Develops strategies to seek additional business opportunities utilizing experience and bank resources.

Gathers the required financial information for all Annual Reviews and for renewals as necessary.

Submits commercial and consumer work-in-process (WIP) through Abrigo including deposit and cash management activities.

Participates weekly with staff meetings, loan and deposit update meetings, and Officers loan Committee to present new loan opportunities for approval.

Participates monthly with Credit Committee meetings to update current relationship status with existing portfolio.

Is the first point of contact if a loan relationship assigned to them becomes past due for any reason.

Provide consistent and exceptional customer service that establishes and maintains relationships with customers and helps with problems these customers may encounter. Will respond promptly to all customer and prospect calls and inquiries.

Conducts loan settlements and disburses funds, following approval process.

Provides support for bank sponsored events and exhibitions as required.

Be a positive and effective team player by helping others achieve success.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them on a timely basis.

Handles customer complaints, according to established policies and procedures.

Will always conduct themselves in a professional manner when dealing with customers, prospects, and while representing the bank in the community and at events.
Administrative/Compliance:

Assure compliance of the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, Fair Lending, and other regulatory policies as required by the responsibilities of this position.

Assures efficient operation and adherence to security, audit and control procedures.

Performs additional responsibilities and duties as required.

Review and understand loan and other applicable policies annually acknowledging any changes.
Knowledge/Education Requirements:

Level I – Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience
-
Level II – Minimum of 3-4 years relevant experience
-
Level III – Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Strong financial analytical and problem-solving skills required, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate basic office machines including calculator, copy and fax machines.
- Computer experience and knowledge of the Windows operating system is required.
- Abilities to be proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be willing to understand and use the bank’s Abrigo loan management system.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of bank products, account procedures.
- The ability to communicate with senior management, customers, and other associates is essential.
Level of Authority:
No supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have the ability to remain stationary, move, position self, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of 10-15 pounds, occasionally more. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment (fax, phone, scanner, computer, copy machine, security system) and read information. The employee frequently is required to remain stationary, reach, and communicate.
