Thomas Day Care Center is looking to add a teacher aide as well as a part time classroom floater to our staff. Teacher aides and classroom floaters must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. They provide valuable support to our facility by providing support and extra supervision both in the classroom, playground and with after school children. Additional support ay be needed to assist with lunches, breaks and maintaining the cleanliness of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Assist teachers with classroom activities.
Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
Supervise children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
Help to maintain a safe learning environment.
Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Requirements
Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
Ability to work well with others.
Complete necessary housekeeping duties in classroom.
Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
Must clear full background check
Assist in other capacities as necessary.
Child Development Associate Certification (CDA)
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
