POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary responsibility of this position provides technical and analytical work in implementing, supporting, and monitoring departmental and enterprise database management systems and applications. Employee will oversee the migration of database structures and applications from development and quality assurance (QA) environments into the production environment. Monitor and manage all environments and report capacity and performance results to management. Strong knowledge of programming, scripting, stored procedures, and query skills are required. Duties include gathering client requirements, creating reports, and application development. Additionally, employee will interact with business and application development staff and should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for user interface design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Has full technical knowledge and responsibility of all phases of systems analysis, programming, and maintenance of applications/databases.
Analyze data and information to promote process improvement, develop standards, and can evaluate systems and workflow processes.
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality.
Supports the implementation and integration of enterprise applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, student information systems, business intelligence reporting, and online business productivity and collaboration systems.
Collaborate with infrastructure, technical support, and development teams to ensure proper integration of all environments.
Fully responsible for problem management activities, such as issue resolution and root cause analysis.
Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new Information Technology software projects and initiatives to support and enhance current systems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
