    Position Overview:

     

    The Full-Service Restaurant General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities. This role requires strong leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The General Manager ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction, profitability, and adherence to company standards.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    1. Operations Management:
      • Oversee all restaurant activities, including dining room service, kitchen operations, and bar service, to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
      • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service, ensuring adherence to established recipes and customer expectations.
      • Collaborate with the kitchen manager to develop and update menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
      • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
      • Manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, placing orders as needed to meet demand and minimize waste.
      • Take ownership for doing what is necessary to minimize safety risks to employees, customers and vendors.

     

     

    1. Team Leadership and Training:
      • Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff.
      • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure a high level of productivity, professionalism, and customer service.
      • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong work ethic.
      • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and any changes in procedures or policies.
      • Develop and implement training programs to enhance customer service skills and product knowledge among staff.

     

    1. Financial Management:
      • Develop and manage the restaurant budget, ensuring financial targets are met and expenses are controlled.
      • Monitor and analyze sales data, labor costs, scheduling and shift coverage, and other financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
      • Implement strategies to maximize revenue, such as upselling, promotional activities, and effective pricing strategies.
      • Control costs through efficient inventory management, portion control, and waste reduction measures.
      • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to financial policies and procedures.

     

     

    1. Customer Satisfaction and Marketing:
      • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and have a positive dining experience.
      • Respond promptly and effectively to customer complaints or concerns, taking appropriate corrective actions.
      • Regularly interact with customers to gather feedback, address inquiries, and build positive relationships.
      • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
      • Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competition to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

     

     

    Qualifications:

    - Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in a full-service restaurant.

    - Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.

    - Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

    - Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

    - Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and cost control.

    - Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

    - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

    -Possess leadership skills to develop store employees to effectively adopt food sales and service standards

     

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Able to traverse and access all areas of store facility
    • Able to stand for long periods of time
    • Perform other duties as required
