JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees the technical design, development and maintenance of databases and master files on large complex projects. Maintains database dictionaries, ensures database performance and resolves problems. Coordinates with other IT staff to ensure implementation and monitoring of databases. Analyzes and projects long-range storage space requirements. Proven ability to lead complex projects requiring coordination with multiple departments, teams and vendors. Ability to investigate and resolve complex technical problems within a team setting. Must be competent to work independently in most phases of database management. Responsible for supporting OMC computer application systems. Includes analysis, requirements and system selection, compliance with HIPAA, product upgrades, problem analysis and resolution. Develops and documents systems interface requirements and leads the ordering, development, testing and monitoring of the interfaces.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Associate’s degree in computer science or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in finance or health care field preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of education. Technical training in vendor applications is desired.
