JOB OBJECTIVE

The Database Administrator (DBA) reports directly to and is under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Applications and Database. The DBA provides database analysis, application template development, application systems administration and support for the clinical and operations user base. The DBA interacts with a multi-cultural population of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, levels of education and ages.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Database Administrator is responsible for performing the following duties: • Responsible for systems administration and data management tasks. • Ensures proper and timely communication and resolution of system issues. • Provides systems support to clinic sites and operations users; troubleshooting and recovery of EHR workstation functionality. • Supports patient processing, clinical tracking and reporting activities; works with medical providers and Information Technology (IT) staff and recommends changes to database management systems and templates. • Responsible for training of employees on system use, proper access to the corporate network, use of application software and other related clinical software. • Adheres to and promotes compliance with the organization’s Information Technology policies and procedures and will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job. • Performs other duties as assigned including participation in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Database Administrator. • Experience using Standard Query Languages (SQL) required. • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or higher and SQL reporting services. • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred. • Must have solid organization, communication, and interpersonal skills and strong work ethic.

Ability to tailor support to non-technical staff’s needs; function in a team-oriented environment, have sensitivity towards others and practice excellent judgment. • Must have the ability to conceptualize, launch and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and treat everyone with respect; must be open and receptive to the needs of the staff.

DESCRIPTION OF LEVELS I, II, III, IV AND SENIOR

Levels are determined by the individual’s job experience and performance; level, scope and complexity of duties assigned and overall knowledge to the extent that the individual works with minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,400.00 - $103,818.00 per year
