Database Marketing Analyst jobs in Lynchburg, VA

Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database[s]. Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process. Writes intermediate level code for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for data access and interoperability. Creates reports according to requestor specifications. Validates report data. Reconciles discrepancies between the expectations of managers and information presented in their reports. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field or Associate and equivalent experience.

Experience Desired

• Three years’ experience in hospital environment
• Three years’ experience in working with relational databases - administration and maintenance, database design, analysis, and management.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excel and Access.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently to analyze specifications and requirements
• Ability to exercise independent judgment to analyze business objectives
• Ability to effectively present information in small groups
• Ability to schedule and coordinate multiple projects
• Tableau experience a plus
