Position/Summary:
The MCH Helpline serves as a call center and utilizes an extensive Information and Referral (I&R) software database as well within the Indiana 211 Partnership, Inc. platform. The Resource Database Specialist, (RDS), performs computer system data analysis, entry and management for the MCH Helpline.
The RDS is responsible for the maintenance of the MCH integrated intake system, as well as working with Indiana 211 Partnership, Inc. to ensure the resources in the database are up to date.
The RDS is subject to being trained in the AIRS standards (Alliance of Information and Referral Systems) and possess the training for I&R (Information and Referral) practices utilizing within the Indiana 211 Partnership, Inc. database. The RDS will be knowledgeable in the critical areas of the taxonomy terms that are selected to represent the service(s) in the service group.
The Resource Database Specialist will work with the MCH Helpline staff, and others to ensure that sites, services, and their agency information are accurately reflected in the Indiana 211 Partnership, Inc. database.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
•Working knowledge of the parameters of information contained in provider source documents.
•Ability to maintain standard production and standard accuracy rate on assigned tasks.
•Manage data exporting and importing across database systems, including experience with Tableau and excel.
•Ability to comprehend and apply moderately complex procedures involved in the data screens.
•Ability to be detailed oriented; follow-up thoroughly on assigned tasks and projects.
•Inform Manager on status of tasks through progress reports
Manage and update the resources in the Liv Pregnancy Mobile App and entire MCH Helpline
•Resolves discrepancies in source documents prior to entering by referring to procedures in program area and/or consulting with the Helpline Manager.
•Responsible for utilizing I&R database system to add, update, and maintain the resource providers active.
•Assists in producing caller data reports by various filters such as referrals, call type, needs, providers, etc within our database.
•Minimum of two years working with database management systems or in a related field is preferred.
•Required to have an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Information Technology, Informatics or a related program.
•One year of working knowledge and relevant database experience with AIRS training.
•Excellent logical and analytical skills; ability to make decisions regarding data entry information within specific program area of work
•Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365, specifically with Excel and database software
•Knowledge of Information and Referral (I&R) standards.
•Knowledge and/or certification of AIRS (Alliance of Information and Referral Systems) standards
