Description

SAIC is currently seeking a ServiceNow Configuration Management Database Analyst to support the US Army Corps of Engineers Revolutionary IT Services (USACE RITS) program.

NOTE: This is a 100% virtual / work from home / remote position located anywhere in the CONUS.

Job Duties:

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by exhibiting a strong understanding of ITIL® v3 or higher best practices and ServiceNow capabilities, specifically relating to Asset and Configuration Management, how these managed assets/CIs support the Organization, as well as ensure the underlying configuration of data and integrations in ServiceNow are not negatively impacting the organization.
• Establish and maintain relationships with the RITS ServiceNow Team, ITIL Practice Owners, and Organization CI Class Service Owners. Proactively look for ways to improve process, identify gaps, recommend changes, implement automation, and improve data accuracy and quality in the CMDB.
• Must understand requirements and establish a CMDB maturity roadmap and communicate to applicable stakeholders. Will also act as a SME to contribute to the overall ServiceNow Roadmap, to mature the ServiceNow system increasing the value of the CMDB for the organization.
• Contributes to the overall success of core managed IT asset and Configuration Items and their mandated managed attributes. Defines, creates, monitors, and audits CI data health reports and dashboards. Will facilitate interactions with the CI Service Owners and collaborate with applicable teams and other system owners/managers to remediate discrepancies identified in the CMDB.
• Will utilize all viable available configuration management tools/applications to support configuration identification, accuracy, control, reporting, auditing, remediation, and delivery of assets and configuration items in the ServiceNow CMDB.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow Development team to ensure foundational data elements are implemented and processes exist to sustain the data in the CMDB.
• Support the ServiceNow team with Discovery and Service Mapping, by ensuring accuracy and quality of data with asset and CI information.
• Understand IT components (infrastructure, software, PCs, Databases) and how they interact/relate and the value brought to the organization when these relationships are intact, accurate and available.
• Experience working with Agile Methods and modern technology environments

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree

Required Certifications:

• ITIL: Foundations v3 or higher
• Validated completion of ServiceNow courses:
  • Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Fundamentals
  • ServiceNow Fundamentals

Required Skills:

• Experience with ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, ITBM and CMDB technologies offered by vendors such as Flexera, Remedy or ServiceNow.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Be highly motivated to work independently without significant direction in a remote environment, as well as work within a team construct.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines, including ITIL v3 or above, Agile Methodology, DevSecOps, and Project Management.

Required Security Clearance:

• Must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance or active secret clearance to start work.
