DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Database Administrator in support the Department of the Navy at Naval Surface Warfare Center.Work is based out of Philadelphia, PA. Work can be performed: remote, hybrid remote, or onsite.This position is contingent upon contract award in Feb/March 2024.Duties and Responsibilities:- Coordinate changes to computer databases, test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
- Modify existing databases and database management systems or note actions required of programmers and analysts to implement the changes
- Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
- Provide computer operations services in support of business data processing and the Navy’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Five (5) years professional experience in database systems administration, to include tasks such as the development, design, and maintenance of databases and/or data management systems that allow for the secure storage, query, and utilization of data.
- Experience should demonstrate support regarding incident management, service level management, change management, release management, continuity management, and availability management for databases and data management systems.
- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server
- Bachelor’s level degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university.
Required Clearance:- Active Secret Security Clearance
Certification(s) Needed:- IAT Level 2 (CompTIA Security CE, CYSA , CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
