CTG is seeking to fill a United States-Database Administration-Level 10 opening for our client in Dearborn, MI.

Location: Dearborn, MI

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

• Manages and administers the physical and technical aspects of database systems, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installation and maintenance of the database system, installation of upgrades and patches, performance and capacity monitoring/management, and security compliance.
• Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
• Potential interaction with clients (internal or external) in order to understand and meet requirements for the delivery of services related to database products.

Skills:

• Adabas DBA Skills Experience creating and working with data files, field definition table (FDT), data maps, columns, tables, records, fields, and Adabas keys.
• Experience creating and working table columns.
• Experience Natural Security.
• Experience working with Adabas/Natural under z/OS V2 or higher.
• Creation and maintenance of JCL in order to maintain jobs that are used to support the databases and run Adabas utility jobs, within the environment.
• Usage of the ISPF editor in order to view/maintain/create JCL to administer database jobs.
• Will build and use existing Adabas utilities to maintain database scheduled activities, or to use the utilities to affect database changes.
• Any experience with Natural One would be a plus
• Planning, configuring, and implementing ADABAS to comply with audits and regulatory requirements.
• Providing technical assistance to PMOs DBMS programming and systems design staff.
• Assisting in evaluating and setting database parameters.
• Planning, configuring, and implementing Adabas Replication
• Responsible for 24x7 coverage
• Ensure backup and disaster recovery plans are implemented, tested, and verified.
• Incident and problem management Software AG engineer
• Experience planning, installing customizing, configuring, and implementing Software AG products.
• Adabas, Natural, Adabas Replication, Entire X, Entire System Server, Entire Network, Predict, Adabas Review and Natural CICS interface.
• Experience defining RACF profiles to control access to protected resources.
• Responsible for 24x7 coverage Incident and problem management Modify, as necessary, existing customer programs.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
