    JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
    This position serves to manage and coordinate all administrative functions of the truck-based service business to maximize customer satisfaction and improve productivity and profitability. Effectively recruits, develops, and retains support staff. Assists Sr. Manager in the successful execution of the service strategy, objectives, and partnerships. Identifies problems, helps formulate solutions, and implements new approaches to streamline services.
    • With Sr. Manager, develops strategic operating plans and successful execution that aligns with Pueblo Mechanical.
    • Leads the execution efforts of the service business.
    • Builds an environment that energizes team members to provide high-quality, cost-efficient, customer-directed service and exceeds performance targets.
    • Recommends and supports staffing requirements for the assigned service business. Serves as a communication channel to share best practice strategies and results that will enable growth.
    • Coaches team on appropriate levels of operating and overhead expenses incurred in service operations. Leverages service operations activities and functions across assigned geography.
    • Audits the effectiveness of service operations and makes changes to improve performance. Ensures that contractual obligations are completed, and customer satisfaction is achieved.
    • Drives operational review meetings e.g. AR, WIP, Pipeline, agreement renewals, etc.
    • Ensure the weekly and monthly reports are populated for the Sr. Manager to show the progress of the daily workload of the service department is being met.
    • Visit with high-profile customers on a consistent basis to ensure customer expectations are being met.
    • Executes other managerial responsibilities, i.e., hiring, performance reviews, and acquisitions consistent with established business strategy. Recruits, hires, and retains Service support operational staff. Prepares and delivers clear performance expectations, performance reviews, and development plans for direct reports utilizing metrics. Ensures a consistent level of coaching, which includes monthly one-on-ones and operational reviews.
    • Provide needed information to other departments and management to ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget and customer expectations.
    • Attend ongoing department meetings, periodic marketing events, and conferences to promote company capabilities and foster customer relationships.
    • Participate in continuing educational classes in management, supervision, and leadership skills.
    • Perform all other duties the job may require but are not specifically listed above.
    • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise the team.
     
    • COMPETENCIES:
    • HVAC construction industry experience required.
    • Experience in managing day-to-day business operations.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communications.
    • Strong commitment to consistently meeting deadlines.
    • Highly organized and heavy attention to detail.
    • Proven mentor and leadership ability
     
    • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
    • 3-5 years’ experience running a dispatch team in a $10M service business.
    • 5 years of business experience in an HVAC environment preferred.
    • In-depth knowledge of field service management software and its applications.
