The Communications Coordinator serves as the College of Dentistry’s point person and lead for marketing and communications from the college and serves as the liaison between the College of Dentistry and the campus marketing and communications teams.
This responsibility includes developing print and electronic content, event coordination, and support of alumni relations, continuing education, and social media.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as liaison between the Office of Communications and Marketing and the College of Dentistry administration to meet marketing and advertising needs for different areas of the college.
Works in conjunction with the Office of Communications and Marketing to develop print and electronic content.Serves as content owner for College of Dentistry social media sites;
assists college leaders with social media engagement.Facilitates and plans special events in the College of Dentistry such as clinic openings / floss-cutting events.
Serves as media / outreach contact person for the College of Dentistry working with the Office of Communications and Marketing.
Supports academic and outreach efforts with event support (white coat ceremony, graduation, scholarship banquets).Develops the College’s web design and keeps webpages up-to-date.
Develops the College of Dentistry brochures and publications related to the college’s enterprise and strategic plan.Prepares the production of presentations to be given by THE Dean, Administrators, and Faculty at college events.
Writes reports, letters, email, or announcements for administrators with the College of Dentistry.Completes special projects as assigned by college leadership.
Promotes alumni involvement and financial support through regular email communication.Organizes and hosts the biannual alumni meetings.
Collaborates with College of Dentistry leadership to develop other opportunities for alumni engagement.Perform other duties as performed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
