Help build and maintain an enterprise data warehouse platform with its associated data models and ETL processes. Be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data models. Look for ways to ensure the integrity of the data model enterprise-wide. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to provide timely, accurate, & reliable data. Help in implementation of a high performing data warehouse platform servicing thousands of users and a broad set of use cases. Build cross functional relationships with data analytics teams and business leaders to understand their requirements and data needs. Drive focus toward the highest value-add projects and help business units to find ways to add value with data. Constantly evaluate and optimize deployment of data models to achieve greater efficiency and reliability. Be an expert and guide to other engineers in all deployment, job scheduling, monitoring systems. Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. Salary: $158,080 - $169,019 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 5 years professional experience as a Software Developer, Systems Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving data engineering and analytics.
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 3 years professional experience as a Software Developer, Systems Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving data engineering and analytics.
Must have the following special skills: 3 years of professional experience performing data engineering and analytics (including data modeling and ETL development) utilizing SQL, databases, and data modeling methodologies (including Kimball, Inmon, or DataVault); 3 years of professional experience utilizing data warehousing technologies (including Snowflake, Redshift or SQL Server); 2 years of professional experience using Git; and 2 years of professional experience building and using slowly changing dimensions and incremental materialization.
