Data Warehouse Specialist performs technical administration duties for the development and maintenance of data warehouses. Provides technical support and coordination during warehouse design, testing and movement to production. Being a Data Warehouse Specialist acts as a liaison between engineers, data architects, programmers, and analysts. Implements and enforces standards and procedures to ensure data is managed consistently and properly integrated within the warehouse. Additionally, Data Warehouse Specialist manipulates and combines data from various sources to enlarge and enhance the data warehouse. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Data Warehouse Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. This position is located in Bath, Maine and requires candidates to be onsite.
As a member of the Data Management team, you will be part of a multi-year digital modernization program with a significant data management component. The Data Warehouse Specialist will have both strategic and tactical responsibilities and you will develop, design, and maintain the complete spectrum of data assets and data processes. Design and implement all facets of the corporate data warehouse. A basic understanding of data mesh concepts is required as well. Day-to-day activities include determining the appropriate systems of record and systems of reference, ETL design and management, requirements gathering, and producing data products for consumption by business analysts.
