PURPOSE:
Supports the planning processes, equipment and software needed to operate coding processes for designated area of responsibility within Assembly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports engineering changes, deviations, process method changes, process sequence changes, etc. to the assembly process.
- Defines and implements test plan, and/or method for module, system, and process area.
- Plans, procures, implements, and provides technical support for process, equipment, and software, hardware and/or process definition.
- Supports projects for continuous improvement, structural planning, and/or other series and new model related planning projects.
- Provides technical guidance and support to assigned process area/module.
- Evaluates and implements software packages required for production system (i.e. test/coding data, upgrades, etc.).
- Provides training and process improvement for production utilizing responsible systems and processes area and/or module.
- Assists with analysis on process, quality and/or systems failures not solvable by production areas. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering preferred) or the equivalent of 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- 2 years of technical experience in automotive manufacturing engineering.
- 2 years’ experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- 1 years knowledge in assembly processes pertaining to electrical automotive systems.
- 1 years’ experience in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- 1 years’ experience in short/long-term project management skills.
- (Structure projects, continuous improvements, and process analysis).
- 1 years’ experience in programming and application knowledge (database management, IT systems) (preferred).
- 1 years of professional experience and knowledge of vehicle systems (electrical preferred).
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in applying statistical methods (risk filters, FMEAs, SPC, process/machine capability).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Vehicle / Automotive / Manufacturing knowledge
- Understands what it means to ‘Flash’ and could have the aptitude to do so
- Problem solving and confident in using technologies, learning and applying new software.
- Flashing (writing data to a control unit - ECU)
- ECU: electronic control unit, (ex: radio in the car, headlights, airbags, etc.) requires sensors and ‘computer’.
- Working with encryption to prevent hacking.
- General Understanding of programming (understands ladder logic or app development), understands one kind of programming (excel VBA)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Location: Greer, SC - onsite 5 days/week
- Overtime: As needed
- Weekend Work: As needed
- Start Date: ASAP
