MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering or other scientific or mathematical field.
- Capable of obtaining and maintaining certification necessary to perform services in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M and AR 25-2.
- One (1) year of experience with systems engineering.
- One (1) year of experience using Windows Server 2016 or higher, Windows 10 (for PC/laptop) and RedHat or Ubuntu Linux.
- One (1) year of programming experience with at least two (2) of the following languages: C#, VB, JAVA, Python, R, and/or C /C.
- Must be able to read, understand and execute techniques and procedures within the quality standards and timelines prescribed by the research plan.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Evaluating state-of-the-art computer hardware and software and its application to support specific requirements and to interface with other equipment and systems.
- Batch processing, system architecture, system maintenance, system administration, .NET, Visual Basic (and its variations), Visual Studio, Microsoft products for application/interface/database, HTML, and/or XML.
- Experience with laboratory procedures, testing and research activities.
- Experience with proprietary engineering and scientific systems and data gathering/storage strongly preferred.
- Experience with RDBMS systems, such as SQL Server or MySQL, strongly preferred.
- Experience with the aggregation and integrity of large data sets, relational databases.
- Experience maintaining and documenting metadata standards and data compliance.
- Experience with privacy and controlled data, including PII, PHI, FOUO and CUI data.
- Experience with database development.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and research.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives at one time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a solid understanding of Government contracting and the professional services industry.
- Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Proven ability to exercise mature judgment – specifically in recognizing and respecting the confidential nature of corporate and personnel matters.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, lying down or to be or remain in a position or state of inactivity. Lift and carry 50 lbs. individually and as a part of a team lift and carry operation; use hand tools to assemble and disassemble equipment, instrumentation, and test devices; climb and descend equipment, test devices, military vehicles, steps, or ladders. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in an office and /or laboratory setting. Laboratory environment includes human testing, so exposure may include but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogens, bio-hazardous waste, chemicals, fumes, vapors, communicable diseases, etc. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.
WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week. May work variable work hours to meet performance requirements (e.g., proposal and reporting deadlines, collaborations, and lab and field data collections), including occasional night and weekend hours.
