    The Information Security Unit (ISU) has an exciting supervisory opportunity for an experienced professional with exceptional cybersecurity, interpersonal and communications skills. Under the general direction of the Chief Information Security Officer Manager, this cybersecurity-focused individual will be involved in the ISU's needs. The successful candidate must also possess strong leadership and management skills, outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, and a high level of technical competence. This position is expected to work collaboratively with other Judiciary divisions and units such as Information Technology Office (ITO), Automated Trial Court Services Unit (ATCSU), Vicinages, etc.

    REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multi factor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

    Example of Duties:

    * Guide ISU cybersecurity data security staff.

    * Collaborate with ITO, ATCSU and other divisions on data security, mainframe and encryption projects.

    * Work closely with data security staff.

    * Strong working knowledge of data security principles and standards such as NIST, CIS, SANS, OWASP, etc.

    * This highly technical position requires a working knowledge of several technology domains including data security, encryption and access control.

    * Work with technical and non-technical staff.

    * This position must collaborate with the ISU, ITO, and different hours.

    * Supervise defense-related tasks such as incident response, vulnerabilities, etc.

    * Working with ISU and ITO on data security initiatives to meet organizational compliance requirements (NIST, CSF, PCI DSS, FTI, etc), which will include several meetings with internal and external auditors from NIST CSF yearly (part of ISU's information security governance process).

    * Excellent customer service and knowledge of technical groups within the Judiciary are required to accomplish the data security and encryption goals.

    * Maintain testing standards and accounts on all development, QA and production systems.

    * Train ISU staff on data security technology requirements.

    * Keep current on the latest information security vulnerabilities and incident response from OWASP, NIST, CSF, PCI DSS, etc.

    * Working knowledge of other systems such as mainframe (RAC/F) and/or other systems (ISAM).

    NOTE: Knowledge of various computer applications including but not limited to mainframe, SOAR, SIEM, Windows, Linux, CyberArk, Windows Server, Windows 10, Microsoft Active Directory and other cybersecurity tools is preferred. The selected candidate may be required to work a non-traditional work week which may include Saturdays, Sundays and/or holidays.

    Salary range is $77,137.95 - $118,779.09. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.

    Job Requirements:

    Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional experience, two (2) years of which shall have included experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting information technology systems and services in the mainframe, server, and network environments. May include analyzing and resolving complex technical problems; generating and testing applications code; performing database administration; administering data security; operating enterprise computer systems; contingency planning, implementing telecommunications facilities; and developing and/or conducting training on IT systems, concepts, applications, policies, or security.

    Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one (1) year of such experience being equal to thirty (30) semester hour credits. An Associate's degree and two (2) years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree may be substituted for one (1) year of general experience as indicated above. A Law degree may be substituted for two (2) years of general experience as indicated above.

    Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

    Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.

    Authorization to Work: ship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, ship and Immigration Services regulations.
