Position Summary Federal Data Systems is looking for a Data/NiFi Systems Engineer to support the Defense Information Systems Agency at Fort George Meade, MD. Candidate will become integrated into the team to design, develop, implement, test, secure, and support data transport and brokering for multiple classified networks and between networks. Essential Job Functions * Perform system administration Niagara Files (NiFi) or similar data flow technology running on Linux VMs. * Support Backup/Failover/Load Balancing of data brokering to improve availability. * Monitor availability & usage. * Respond to outages, take corrective action, and issue outage report. Minimum Required Qualifications * Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required. * Required Active Security Clearance: Secret * Minimum 5 years' experience required. * IAM or IAT Level II Certification is required. (e.g., GSEC, SEC , SCNP, SSCP, etc.). * Relevant Experience includes: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Experience with classified and unclassified networks. * Familiarity with Linux platforms. * Familiarity with Niagara Files (NiFi), or other similar data flow technologies. * Familiarity with Java programing. Working Conditions: Work is typically based remotely with a periodic need to visit Dell facilities and client locations. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager. Physical Requirements: May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the work day. Background Screening/Check/Investigation: Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
