Data Security Director oversees operations of a team responsible for protecting data from unauthorized users. Develops policies and procedures for identifying, reporting, and resolving security violations. Being a Data Security Director may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. The Data Security Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Security Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The Executive Director is responsible for establishing goals, executing major initiatives, and directing long and short-term externally focused strategic plans regarding the philanthropy, community activism, and scholarship programs that fall under the Security Credit Union Foundation.


    Essential Functions and Other Responsibilities:

    1. Ensures prompt and courteous service is provided to all internal and external members/customers. 
    2. Conducts work in a safe and healthful manner.
    3. Maintains current knowledge of technology necessary to function in position; continuing education as needed. Networks with other financial institutions to stay abreast of current trends.
    4. Ensures compliance with laws and regulations affecting department.
    5. Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of credit union policies/procedures that are necessary for performing job duties, including but not limited to Negotiable Instrument Reference & Guidelines, BSA, and OFAC. 
    6. Provide effective communication on overall strategic goals, community /event action plans, budgets and others, by preparing and presenting reports as needed to SCU senior management and SCU Board.
    7. Serves as liaison with various outside agencies to raise funds for the foundation. Develop organization-wide marketing strategies and campaigns to drive volume, cultivate donor base, and advocacy efforts. Obtain new revenue funds for the foundation through acquisition of gifts, donations, and grants.
    8. Presenting to the Board or its authorized committees, upon request, periodic reports reflecting the activities of the Corporation and such other special reports as may be required by the Board.
    9. Developing and submitting to the board for approval a plan of organization for the conduct of the various activities of the Corporation and recommending changes when necessary.
    10. Attending meetings of the Board and serving as an ex-officio member either in person or by designated appointee, on its committees and coordinating the preparation of Board meeting materials.
    11. Representing the Corporation and its Board in relationships with its affiliated organizations and its Class A Member.
    12. Seeing that all actions taken by the Board of Directors are executed.
    13. Selecting, employing, supervising, and discharging corporate agents and employees and determining their duties, fixing their compensation, and developing and maintaining personnel policies and practices for the Corporation.
    14. Assist with research and discover new opportunities to enhance and cultivate meaningful relationships within the communities the foundation serves to increase brand awareness.
    15. Plan, develop and establish policies and objectives of organization in accordance with board directives, articles of incorporation, and bylaws. 
    16. Review submitted proposals, providing recommendations of grants and projects to Board for approval.
    17. Ensure all organizational records are maintained according to law and are available upon request by authorized board members.
    18. Ensure that the grantees complete reporting and submit within the timeline given.
    19. Collaborate with internal and external strategic partners to build relationships that will support the long-range, strategic goals of the Foundation
    20. Represent the Foundation at community events, participate in community engagement committees.
    21. Build a culture of giving and social impact and the brand for the foundation that properly represents the values of the Foundation and SCU.
    22. Plans and develops programs and events designed to enhance charitable giving.
    23. Works collaboratively with SCU’s AVP of Marketing and members of the Senior Management team as appropriate to ensure SCU is represented in a wide range of community relations activities including but not limited to fundraising.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education: A four-year college degree in Marketing, Business, or relevant field.

    Experience: One to three years of marketing, community-focused outreach, or customer service in a credit union or similar environment.
