Data Security Analyst assists in the design, implementation, and enforcement of security policies that protect systems and data from access by unauthorized users. Creates procedures for data access, protection, and backup. Being a Data Security Analyst investigates security violations and modifies procedures to prevent future incursions. Reviews changes to information systems to ensure compliance with security standards. Additionally, Data Security Analyst may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job Summary- Maintains and installs security systems for any manual or automated systems. Responsible for ensuring the protection of corporate data against unauthorized disclosure, accidental or intentional loss of data, or unauthorized modification.

- Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.
- Discretion / Latitude
- Performs fairly complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignments. Plan schedules and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
- Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect on the administration of the organization.
- Liaison
- Represents the organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations.
Minimum Qualifications/Minimum Education Requirement:- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Minimum Years of Experience - 6 years
- Master's degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Special Requirements:- Experience with Tenable products, configuring and maintaining vulnerability scanning systems and infrastructure. Troubleshooting scan performance and methodologies to ensure the highest quality of vulnerability discovery.
- Motivated self-starter capable of doing analysis of system logs and vulnerability data, researching solutions, socializing required action, and driving issues to resolution.
- Must perform expected tasks in a timely manner, provide leadership with routine task updates, and clearly and expeditiously communicate any complications to task success.
- Experience with scripting in PowerShell, Python, and Unix command line.
