GENERAL SUMMARY:
Summary:
The Information Security Data Analyst (ISDA) will provide critical technical expertise in cyber security data analytics and automation functions. The ISDA will lead information security data analytics projects to provide information and insights to the Information Security team and key stakeholders for decision making and solutions development. Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends related to cyber security and translating them into technical solutions, with a focus on automation and data standardization. The ISDA will play a key role in the development, testing, and implementation of the solutions. The ISDA will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and normalization of the data. The ISDA will assist in assessing the viability of integrating new technologies into the security environment, including AI enabled platforms.
The ISDA will support the Information Security team in daily operations which will include account provisioning, new hire orientation, and assisting with IT system audits. This is a highly collaborative position and will require frequent interactions with all teams within the IT Department and employees throughout Bayhealth.
Membership in professional organization(s) focused on cyber security such as The International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) or the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) is strongly encouraged.
The ISDA is required to participate in the Information Security team after hours, on-call rotation. This will result in having on-call duties assigned approximately once per month.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Deploys automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform that data into usable metrics.
2. Construct data sets, monitor data quality, and troubleshoot / resolve data issues to ensure data integrity.
3. Models, tests, and measures output and data to analyze performance or quality issues and develop solutions.
4. Develops technical designs and process diagrams to implement process automation.
5. Utilizes scripting and querying tools such as Python, SQL, Shell scripting, etc.
6. Deliver internal training for new features to team members and end users by identifying needs, preparing materials, and delivering as needed.
7. Provision access to Bayhealth systems as per access requests. This also will include access updates and access terminations.
8. Conduct annual and ad-hoc system audits to review system access.
9. Adhere to internal operational security and other Bayhealth policies.
10. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL:
Education Bachelor DegreeEXPERIENCE:
Required: Three (3) years of IT experience with at least three (1) year of cyber security experience.
Preferred: Prior experience in healthcare cybersecurity.
