PRINCIPAL DUTIES
· A primary focus of driving improvements in revenue, losses, profitability and other key metrics within Leadgen, Direct Mail, and all other acquisition channels
· Design, implement and maintain underwriting policies and strategies to meet portfolio goals across different acquisition channels like Lead Generation, Direct Mail marketing, etc.
· Help design and monitor portfolio reports to measure the effectiveness of these strategies and communicate results to senior management and internal business partners
· Extract insights from large and complex data sets to identify credit and fraud risk patterns through advanced data mining, statistical analysis, and modeling
· Develop and maintain a strong relationship with Marketing, IT, Legal/Compliance and other support functions to ensure alignment of initiatives with Company objectives.
· Work with internal business partners to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the end-to-end Risk Management processes
· Synthesize and present research/technical findings to diverse audiences
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
· Undergraduate Degree in Statistics, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Analytics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. Graduate degree in a quantitative field preferred.
· Experience extracting and manipulating data and experience using databases such as MySQL Server, Hadoop, etc.
· Experience performing advanced data analytics in a big data environment within a risk & fraud function is ideal
· Strong quantitative, statistical modeling capabilities and experience building models
· Experience using machine learning techniques and algorithms
· Experience in financial services, risk management, fraud mitigation, and/or collections analytics a plus.
· Experience in reporting and automation tools
· Data and reporting experience and attention to detail
· Ability to collect, organize and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
