The Marketing Data Science Manager has expert knowledge in data analysis and modeling to develop targeted marketing campaigns, member segmentation strategies, and predictive analytics projects. Leading a team of Marketing data analysts, they develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges, influence the credit union's ability to provide personalized experiences, drive member acquisition, and strengthen member relationships.
What you will do here:
Lead a team of Marketing data analysts, providing clear expectations on performance and accountability. Conduct regular check-ins with the team to provide ongoing coaching and development. Foster an environment of teamwork and growth, to promote employee satisfaction and retention.
Define, drive, and apply advanced data analytics techniques to extract actionable insights from diverse financial and member-related datasets. Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.
Develop predictive models to identify patterns and trends in member behaviors, allowing for personalized marketing initiatives. Build statistical models and develop advanced experimentation methods, such as synthetic control, to measure marketing's impact. Build time series, forecasting models to predict growth and set the right growth goals develop frameworks to implement marketing attribution models. Develop machine learning models and optimization methods to improve marketing performance, maximize product growth, enhance member segmentation, and enable targeted communication.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Analytics, and Business Intelligence teams to understand marketing objectives and develop data-driven strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute A/B tests, measuring the impact of marketing campaigns on member engagement and product adoption.
Contribute to the development of data-driven marketing strategies and help align them with the credit union's business goals. Innovate and drive adoption of latest data science tools and methodologies. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through data validation, cleansing, and integration processes.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and marketing analytics. Maintain expertise and become trusted advisor and thought leader to executives regarding applications for analytics and implications of analytic results. Participate in the continuous improvement of data management and analysis processes within the Marketing department.

What you will need:
Master's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, business analytics or related field required.
5 years experience using advanced statistical techniques, predictive modeling, time series forecasting, text mining, machine learning required.
3 years experience leading an analytics, project, or data team; experience with progressive responsibility on a team required.
Financial services or credit union industry experience preferred preferred.
Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis, modeling, and automation. Web Data (Optimizely), Google Computer (google cloud platform) required.
Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques required.
Experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) required.
Familiarity with SQL and databases for data extraction, transformation, and integration required.
Demonstrated ability to share knowledge with, motivate, and develop others required.
Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders required.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on both individual and collaborative projects required.
Knowledge of financial products and services, credit scoring models, and member behaviors is a plus preferred.
