Data Science Director establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals of the data science function. Provides strategic guidance and overall direction for analytical efforts. Uses extensive knowledge and research into big data tools to guide the integration of new and existing tools into the organization's data science tech stack. PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Assistant Professor in Computer Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is a 9-month non-tenure track position in Computer Science at Kentucky State University. The successful candidate will have earned a degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in Computer Science with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Computer Science and a strong background in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and
Databases. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and possibly some graduate courses, serve as an academic advisor, participate in curriculum development, serve on institutional committees, as well as area field instructional, mentor students in research projects, and service-related duties as assigned. A strong commitment to diversity is essential.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

QUALIFICATIONS:
