The Data Analyst serves as a member of the Shared Services team and is responsible for possessing knowledge of enrollment management principles and skills in the processing of sensitive data. This person understands and complies with federal/University requirements related to, but not limited to, the processing of admission applications and supporting data, financial aid applications and supporting data, pre-college applications and supporting data, student account processing, and CRM inquiry data. In this role, the Data Analyst scans, reviews, and indexes sensitive data; uses critical thinking skills and problem-solving techniques to evaluate and audit data; and prioritizes work in order to meet production goals.

As the subject matter expert in data analysis, this individual will be sought out to participate in identifying and solving complex and compliance-related problems related to federal regulations and institutional practices. This person demonstrates the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in resolution of complex and compliance-related problems.

The Data Analyst provides guidance and training as new individuals enter their roles in the Enrollment Division.

The Data Analyst interfaces with several IT systems and must possess a comprehensive knowledge of business processes and use of technology in: preparing data for administrators' review (freshmen, transfer, re-admit, exchange, part-time, international, and graduate/professional); loading and extracting student data from the administrative systems; preparing and distributing student communications via print or email (missing information letters, financial aid notification letters, admission decision letters); resolving missing or incomplete information using various audits to ensure accuracy; and responding to inquiries related to these data requests.

This person performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (4 years); will consider demonstrated mastery of skills based on directly-related work experience of 7 or more years in lieu of Bachelors degree
• 1-2 years experience in a position with similar responsibilities
• Ability to work in a highly automated environment with changing technology
• Ability to work successfully on a team
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow complex instructions
• High degree of motivation and initiative
• Proficiency in using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, CRM (Slate), and/or ERP systems
