The primary focus of this position will be daily P&L Reporting and attribution as well as creating and implementing new models and concepts to enhance the accuracy, profitability, and efficiently of financial accounting and managing our interest rate risk position using the QRM Framework. Expected to perform multiple functions across the Secondary Marketing area, including developing and maintaining model inputs and improving the accuracy and efficiency of modeling interest rate risk.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Development and evolution of current daily P&L framework and attribution, including forecasting of expected future margin
- Maintain and improve key model assumptions including loan valuation, prepayment assumptions, and behavioral models that drive loan valuation and hedging
- Creating new structures and processes that aligns priced in margin to modeled initial margin in QRM
- Ownership of fair valuation inputs and concepts to align valuation with our priced in margin
- Ownership of servicing valuation embedded in fair value calculations along with enhancement to servicing segmentation and valuation
- Ownership of modeling new Products from implementation within QRM Framework to valuation and reporting
- Design and implement improvements to current reporting and/or database structure
- Provide insights for process efficiencies, functional realignments and overall continuous improvement
- Builds adhoc analysis, reporting and models as needed with limited support
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or applicable area
- Must be coachable, able to take direction and feedback and have a willingness to learn
- Must be able to complete projects and tasks independently, but also be a team player
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation and drive
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills and mathematical skills
- Intermediate to Advanced experience using Excel, with ability to utilize PIVOTs, vLookup, & other analytical functions
- Strong attention to detail
- Onsite attendance is required
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- 2-5 years prior work experience, with knowledge of the mortgage process and market preferred
- Experience working with QRM
