Data Modeling Analyst develops data models to meet the needs of the organization's information systems. Manages the flow of information between departments through the use of relational databases. The Item Data Analyst – Supply Chain is responsible for providing analysis of all items being purchased to assure electronic records of all data requests are properly classified for cataloging in the MMIS systems in accordance with established standard description and numeric sequencing.
Maintains the integrity of the MMIS material master database records. Has frequent communication with all Materials Managers, Central Purchasing, Chargemaster or other Revenue Cycle staff, vendors and occasionally with regulatory agencies. Assigns appropriate GL expense accounts, assigns HCPCS, GTINs and revenue codes as applicable to support patient charging.
Utilizes multiple sources, electronically or printed reference materials, to appropriately assign coding of items.
Assures all items are maintained in the MMIS system on the appropriate pricing agreement with the correct unit of measure (UOM) based upon the applicable vendor contract, i.e., Group Purchasing Organization, Local Agreement and/or Quote, etc.
Maintains roster of available UOM master based on ANSI standard methodology.
Assures all patient related items are set-up with applicable UOM/Conversion factors to include the patient-unit-of-use and in accordance with manufacturer/vendor packaging for purchasing.
This position leads the process to resolve issues with patient chargeable and non-chargeable items as needed to assure accuracy of patient charge systems.
Insures Material numbers are linked to correct GL accounts & part classifications.
Provide analysis of Material records, item specs, organize descriptions into formal consistent standards for entry into the computer systems utilized by the organization.
Analyze, create and formulates item descriptions needed to manage and maintain the MMIS records for the corporation.
Assists with MMIS projects and is capable of utilizing an automated electronic upload tool.
Exhibits excellent organizational skills and is able to lead data analytics and data entry team members.
Detail orientated with good analytical skills a must – formulating consistent standards.
Able to manage and analyze large amounts of data and is proficient with Microsoft products; especially Excel, with experience in using formulas, functions, etc.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines problem resolution.
Education, Training and Experience:
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of (3) years relevant work experience in healthcare supply chain
A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
