Contract to Hire Role - 1099 / C2C preferred (client is looking to convert to work for them on a W2 basis after 6-12 months)
What You'll Do: (assignments may include responsibilities in one or more of the following areas):
> Further develop and evolve our reporting capabilities in support of our growing internal and external needs;
> Coordinate the production of reporting content needed from other departments
> Develop expertise in the system technology to understand its capabilities and current use and learn to create data extracts for reporting purposes.
> Configure analytical tools to evaluate and model different parts of the loan portfolio to understand the impact of loan sales to our balance sheet and income statement, and be able to effectively communicate the results or recommendations
What you'll need:
> At least three years in a financial institution setting and an understanding of lending, loan data, the lending business, and the importance of data analysis and reporting (prefer commercial lending experience)
> Knowledge of relevant reporting outputs and metrics including certain financial metrics, loan performance reporting, risk metrics and portfolio characteristics.
> Familiarity with different reporting perspectives: Region/Country breakdown, industry breakdown, maturity distributions, credit quality ratings.
> Comfortable and capable of working with portfolio managers, compliance officers and management to understand and define reporting requirements.
> Experience analyzing data and metrics with sufficient familiarity to recognize potential issues.
> Advanced skills in creating reports and visualizations in various Report Tools, specifically Microsoft Power BI (3 Years using Power BI required)
> Understanding of McCracken/Strategy file structure, SalesForce data structure (2 yrs - nice to have)
> Experience using G-Suite tools
> Thorough understanding of SQL so that the applicant can write SQL code against our existing data warehouse structure in Microsoft Power BI (4 yrs of SQL coding experienced)
> Thorough experience managing and manipulating large amounts of data in Microsoft Excel.
> Ability to operate independently on short and long term goals.
> Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to leverage firm wide resources in an effective and judicious manner.
> Detail-oriented and a natural problem solver; have the resolve to independently research problems and offer solutions.
> Organized and able to manage multiple projects with differing priorities to meet deadlines.
