This project will be replacing the WorkSource’s current legacy system Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) using an agile framework as the approach to the project.
The WSS unit is integral to the successful administration of job seeker, employer services, and re-employment within ESD by supporting critical applications, systems, and services. This position works closely with the Application Services unit, specifically with the Database Administration unit and the Business Intelligence unit, Enterprise Services, Infrastructure and Operations, and other IT or business teams to migrate, support, and maintain the WorkSource line of business database systems and the data that resides within them. The ideal candidate for this position can independently deal with high-risk, high-profile data management initiatives and has proven problem-solving skills.
As the Lead Data Management Specialist, you will coach, mentor, and provide senior-level leadership, knowledge, skills, and solutioning in support of the WIT project, WorkSource portfolio, and within the ITSD/WSS team. The Lead Data Management Specialist takes charge of migrating and integrating data from legacy platforms to new low-code/no-code cloud-based solutions, ensuring the WorkSource database systems and processes meet agency and legal security requirements. This role will work directly with customers and vendors to resolve issues related to the WorkSource database systems, while coaching and mentoring the WSS team and project members through complex challenges. In this role you will independently maintain the WorkSource database system and collaborate with internal ITSD teams on identifying and validating data for migration, planning, and prioritizing duties related to data management.
Some of your duties may include:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field and seven (7) years of IT experience performing MSSQL database administration.
OR
Eleven (11) years of experience in combination of education and/or relevant IT experience performing MSSQL database administration.
